Barnagnen provides psychosocial rehabilitation support to young people aged 16-25 years with a mental health condition that is impacting on everyday living and interrupting important life areas. It is a 12 month program which is run in a residential setting.
The aim of Barnagnen is to help young people to break the cycle of instability around their mental illness as they work on their personal recovery journey.
The Barnagnen model is based on a work, earn, and learn philosophy in a culture of encouragement to learn about and self-manage mental health and wellbeing. We support and encourage participation in learning, volunteering or paid employment to assist in creating broader opportunities over and above receiving a service.
